    Comments about REI Splinter Forceps:

    These tweezers have served me very well and I have them in all of my medical kits. They are light and easy to use. I prefer longer, thinner tweezers because I can see the injury I am working on more easily.

    Another reviewer mentioned that they are not sharp, however I have had the complete opposite experience. I own three or four pairs of these tweezers and all of them have been extremely sharp.

          Comments about REI Splinter Forceps:

          I purchased these tweezers for a first aid kit. I expected fairly good quality from REI. Unfortunately, these are relatively lower quality tweezers. They are not sharp enough to help dig in and remove deeply embedded splinters. In addition, on the pair I received the little rubber protective cover will not stay in place. I ended up using a pair from the grocery store, which are higher quality. Instead of these REI tweezers, I would recommend people purchase a higher quality type.
