great carabiner. picked up 2 the other day and got to use them on a short multipitch today. Very nice. started using these more than my BD hms carabiner. Great action, easy, and lighter than others. not the lightest though. oh and it doesnt lock up like mad rock lockers.

I've used this carabiner in the gym, at the crags, and on mountains. It's a pleasure to use, and is just the right size for belaying, whether by GriGri, ATC, or Munter. It's the smoothest pull of any carabiner, being made of a large diameter stock. This also means it's a bit heavier than other options, a small sacrifice for one of the 2 HMSs on my rack.
An added bonus in snowy/icy conditions is a small hole Petzl machined in the back of the keylock groove. When snow and ice get in the groove, just screw the carabiner in like normal and it gets pushed out the back through the hole.

absolutely perfect carabiner in my opinion. I love the shape, the feel, the size, the finish, how quick it opens and closes with a really quick twist lock. It's much faster to twist than others plus when it's unlocked, it shows a red mark which is good for safety. I use these for personal anchors and belaying. When belaying, I find these don't tend to side-load like others I have used. the size being a bit smaller is nice in that it doesn't slop around while using the grigri. I wouldn't change a thing. I want to buy more of these.

It is easy to buy a cheaper carabiner, but for the sandy, dirty climbing I get involved in I am glad I opted for this Petzle biner. The action on the locking mechanism is incredibly smooth and a quick one-handed operation. Very high quality. Easily my favorite carabiner for belaying.

It locks, it unlocks, it opens and closes smoothly. What else do you need? The body is big enough to belay twin ropes just fine, and munter hitch goes through without any problems either. It works great to lock into your belay device, into anchors, or anything else you need to lock into securely.

I've been rock climbing for about 4 years now and have had experience with many different brands and styles of carabiners. The Petzl Attache has always been my go to clip and has never really failed me. The only problem I have ever had with it was after I dropped it in the sand. The gate was fairly difficult to clean out but I don't see how that would really be any different with any other screw gate style carabiner. I always keep one with my climbing gear and one on my day pack (comes in handy more often than you might think). Highly recommend it!

i use this lil biner on my rack, i like how compact yet strong it is. my primary use is caving and our gear takes a lot of abuse. and the gold color stands out over the others and makes it easy to find when i need it. the sap of this biner makes it ideal when having to transfer from one rope to another, or to switch for acent to desecnt gear.

I bought a couple of these for me and my wife. The form factor is perfect as a belay biner: small, fat, lite, and smooth mechanics. However, after a couple years of casual use, groves have been worn where the rope runs over the biner. I suspect that the alloy is a bit too soft (which is probably how the biner is so light). My previous Black Diamond biner lasted longer with less signs of wear.

I belay exclusively with these biners. They are the perfect size so that my belay device (ATC or Gri-Gri) is always in the perfect position when I'm belaying. The red indicator is also a nice feature to signal when the biner is unlocked.
