Comments about MSR DromLite - 6 Liter:
I have the 10L Dromedary and needed more water carrying capacity for a 10 day kayak camping trip. I opted for the 6L Dromlite just to try something different and to save some weight. Well, for the 3 oz in saved weight, it's just not worth it. It doesn't have the webbing that the Dromedary has so it is hard to hold while filling and dispensing...well, even just carrying around. There is an O ring at the top of the bag (opposite of the tap) so if you are able to hang it, or have another person with you who can hold it, I guess it would work fine. But I've spilled so much water with this Dromlite so I'll be returning it and getting the sturdier Dromedary. I can't afford to lose water! The fabric is lighter so the water didn't retain temperature as long, and it got dirty and I can't seem to get it clean (I got it in red).

Comments about MSR DromLite - 6 Liter:
Works great for backpacking trips with multiple people. Used very frequently when cooking around camp. Many attachments (sold separately) Excellent for using on trail and filling up to only 2 liters. Great for filtering water into for groups and then distributing amongst. Durable fabric. Would have liked to see some type of measurement written on bag.

Comments about MSR DromLite - 6 Liter:
I bought this 6L bag (the older model without the handle at the opening) in 2007 to use on a bike trip from Colorado to Alaska. This bag was so useful for filling up from smaller sinks where a water bottle was too tall to fit under the tap. I'd fill this bag from a sink, then use it to fill up my three water bottles on the bike, with water left over.
I usually used bungee cords to strap it on top of my rear bike rack and it held up fine. I also used some 3mm cord through the grommet (with a tent pole repair tube as a handle) to make carrying it easier.
I never experienced any weird taste from the bag. One cold night I even used it as a hot water bottle inside my sleeping bag with no leaking. I haven't used it much since my bike trip, but I'll soon be using it as the source bag in a gravity feed water filter system. If I were to buy another bag, I might buy the heavier duty dromedary 10L, but this one is great if weight is more of a concern for you.
