The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
MSR Dromedary Bag - 6 Literis rated4.75out of5by4.
Rated5out of5byZubenElGenubifromTough Stuff(This review is for the 6-liter bag.) Purchased this for a few extended hiking trips where water source will be questionable (Arizona desert). Tested it on a two-day camping trip in central Texas. Securing it was not as easy as I hoped, even with the webbing looped around the perimeter, but I was able to store it in the top of my backpack without too much shifting. Suspending and using it at my campsite was very easy and the flow from the flip-nozzle was surprisingly adjustable (from drips for toothbrush rinsing, to full on for water bottle filling). The fabric appears very durable and there was no noticeable taste to the water.

Rated5out of5byWooonerfromAbsolutely 100% RECOMMENDI began by flushing this twice daily with fresh water for a week. After that took it on a small day hike, and was THRILLED. I purchased the 4L and was shocked at how much water that really is. The bag fits in my pack perfectly and even in my day pack. The attachable water hose you can purchase is well worth the money as well and does not leak. After soaking I filled with ice cubes and set out for a weekend and again, was surprised at how long it kept the ice frozen against my hot sweaty back. When filtering, my water filter fit perfectly into the hole as well. So far, taken it on 3 hikes and not a single complaint. The plastic taste I've never had a complaint about and yes you can taste a hint, but I think I flushed mine so much it's barely there now if at all. The most recent 3 day adventure I couldn't taste it at all. The strap around the edges also make it easier to maneuver when full and tug and adjust in your pack. Highly recommend this product.

Rated4out of5byhucknroll bicycle camperfromGood forBicycle campingSturdy, easy to haul. I do not worry about leaks and it hangs and allows controlled flow at any campsite. I got the 6 liter but for flexibility when I don't know where the next water source might be. A little plastic taste on first use. Will try to use a more thorough rinse on next use.

Rated5out of5byrgsvsfromGreat ProductI think all the highlights of this product have already been addressed but I still felt compelled to write my own review because I was so satisfied with this product.
First, while the 2L model features a plastic exterior like your average Camelbak bladder, the the 6L and 10L models feature an exterior that feels like a rugged canvas and reinforced my confidence in using this product. For example, I filled it and hung it on a tree with a pretty sharp peeling bark. I had no worries that the bag could withstand the sharp bark without being pierced.
Second, the three-function cap is a GREAT feature that was the major selling point for me. The cap features a small spout (great for filling Nalgene bottles, washing dishes, or just wetting your toothbrush). It also features a medium spout (which we used to pour the remaining water into our respective Camelbak bladders for the hike), and a large spout to fill/empty it. The fact that all this is featured on the stock cap pretty much sold me on this bag.
Finally, the overall design of the bag makes it conducive to hanging from something as well as just being left on the floor. Most other campsite bladders just sit on the floor and are only good for one or two purposes. Hanging it makes it SO much easier to use (possibly even to shower under in a pinch?).
Oh, and the water tastes great!
For me, having a significant supply of water at our base-camp (beyond just our backpack bladders and water bottles) is critical. The MSR Drom Bag impressed me with its light weight, versatility, and durable construction. The only criticism I have is that I could only find the bag in black and, while I think black is a cool/elegant color, I want my stuff to stand out so I don't need a flashlight to find it in the dark or lose it in the weeds. It would be great if this came in a flashier color (ideally orange or blue).
