Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
I borrowed one of these from a friend one snowy, cold ski day and it amazed me how much warm and dry it remained throughout the day. I have a merino wool balaclava as well, but once it starts to snow, it starts to stretch and get mushy. And it stays so, which means it actually is colder than this one, though it is substantially thinner. I wear it under my rather snug helmet and it is ultra thin, so fits great. It doesn't seem to stay wet for long, even when out in it. So, after a break, you're not putting on a soggy, cold thing around your face. It retains its shape amazingly even wet, and even when pulled down below one's neck, when chin coverage isn't necessary. The lower front is great for covering up the neck too, which was lacking on my merino wool one, which never seemed to give me full coverage. I'm a medium sized female, so your mileage may very if you are a large guy, but it also works well for a medium fellow (the one who loaned it to me originally).
Finally, it's extremely compact, so you can stash it easily in a pocket when you don't need it or IF you might later, and it takes very little room. Terrific all around and affordable too.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
This headliner fits perfectly under my bicycle helmet. I can breathe well and it keeps the wind off my face.
I am going snow skiing this weekend and plan to wear it.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
I'm a distance runner and purchased this for cold weather running. It's perfect for my objectives-lightweight, multi-use meaning it can either go around my neck, over my head or over my mouth, and it provides just the right amount of warmth. It wasn't too tight around my face and it didn't squeeze my earbuds. I have a small face so it may be too tight if you have a large frame, it is a one size fits all.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
I use this for my daily bike commute through Chicago regardless of the weather. This puppy keeps me warm down into the low teens at over 20 mph. It can get a funk after a lot of use, but that's what washing machines are for. I like the slightly shorter length, as it's super-thin material still has to fight for real estate with long underwear and thermal top layered underneath a fully-zipped cycling jacket. Unless you plan on riding down into the single digits, this is the right balaclava for you.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
Great material BUT.. they cut corners on size (amount of material to cover one's neck). Maybe it's good for a child or someone or medium build but, when compared with REI's liner, it has far less material available to cover one's neck. I recommend that you take a close look at size between the two. For me, the REI liner works much better.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
I used this balaclava above the tree line on Humphreys Peak in Flagstaff, AZ this weekend. The temperature the night before at camp (11,000') was well below freezing, and as we neared the peak (12,600') the wind was was pretty fierce. When my ears got to hurting from the cold, I ducked behind a rock and donned the balaclava and was instantly protected and warmed. When not in use it was easy to stuff it into my pants pocket.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
I use mine 3-5 times per week in the winter time under my hockey helmet when playing outdoors. I also use it when winter camping underneath my normal hat to maximize warmth. Sleeping with it on in the mummy bag adds more warmth. very lightweight and packable when it's not on your head.

Comments about Seirus Thermax Headliner Balaclava:
Works great as an under helmet alternative to the thicker water/wind proof models that get a bit spendy. If you need a liner for a dry fall ride, this is the one.
