      This pack holds two of the "old style" returnable beer cases perfectly. This allows for two food/gear compartments. I appreciate the lighter weight and it has been durable. We've been using it on our trips for 3 years now.

        We use Granite Gear's Quetico, Nimbus Great Northern, and the Food Pack in two solo boats. The Food Pack is sized to take a food box, which essentially turns it into an internal-frame pack on the portages. While the Q and NGN are fantastic for BWCAW-style paddling, we're also thinking of getting another Food Pack to use without a box as a general carry-all for less ambitious trips.
