Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I use these sunglasses for hiking and for casual wear. I love them. They are very good at blocking the sun except when you are directly staring into the sun. I like that they came with a hard case and a second pair of lenses as well.

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I have had 3 pairs of this style and wear them for all my sporting needs- biking, snowshoeing, kayaking, etc. The company replaced the first one after several years of use, when they cracked upon impact. The second pair were destroyed by a puppy! My head is sensitive to the pressure of wearing sunglasses and I have found these are the best. I also like the alternate lenses, which are great on rainy kayak trips or partly cloudy days when there's still some sunshine.
The downsides of this new pair are that they don't come with as many lenses as the old version, the amber lens color is unattractive on me, and they don't come with the interchangeable arms with strap.

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I do not write reviews often so this is not a usual thing for me. I bought a pair of Native Hardtops, they look nice and are light and comfortable BUT they are not very durable. The side pieces interchange so you can change them out with another set that is included that has a strap, neat idea but it also makes the attachment point weaker. The rubber ear pieces also came loose and one fell off. The rubber nose pieces are also easily removed and one of them fell off. You can buy replacement pieces for all of these parts but for [$] you would think they would be much more durable. I have Tifosi and Smith glasses, both cheaper that I have worn more often that have been more durable.

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I bought these sunglasses for my training for and running of the Boston Marathon. They have been awesome! I use them when I drive & when I work in the yard. I'll use them at the beach this year too. The Sport lenses work very well in low light or cloudy conditions-- things look much clearer than without them. My only con was that the frames FEEL flimsy when I am changing out the lenses... but they have held up to multiple changes so far. Definitely worth the price!

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I didn't realize how much I loved these glasses until I tried to replace them. After a couple years -- and still NO scratches on the lenses -- one of the ear pieces broke. The plastic just cracked when I was taking them off my face after a ride. When I realized I could by a replacement part for $25 directly from Native, I did that and returned the other sunglasses I bought. These just fit my face perfectly, the lenses are just the right size for wind blocking, vision path coverage, and all without fogging up! Oh, and they don't give me a unibrow like other frames do.

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I bought one pair and had to return them because the replacable frames were so difficult to put in. My son works for REI and said this was unusual. So I got a new pair (rei is great with returns) and now the lenses are uneven. They are flimsy and close crop one side of my face leaving a big indentation on my cheek. So Back to Rei and I won't buy native again.

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I bought my Natives in 2004 and they are still going strong. I wear them every day; I cannot be without them. Mine came with 3 lenses (dark polarized, yellow and clear). 99% of the time I use the dark lenses but the yellow are great for skiing.I originally bought them to take to the Dominican Republic because I needed something polarized to use in/on/around the water. These were the best out of everything I tried. A year ago one of the rubberized nose-pieces began to break off. The company mailed me a new set of pads so I didn't have to send my pair in (because I don't know how I'd manage without them). I have had no issues with scratching or peeling of my lenses. I have never had a pair of glasses this long...if and when they ever get lost or die, I'm getting them again!

Comments about Native Eyewear Hardtop Polarized Sunglasses:

I have have had these for several years, and am awaiting my third replacement. These glasses have poor construction and are easily broken. When they break, native won't hesitate to charge you the $30 for replacement which is up from the $20 that my warranty details stated. You will be charged the replacement fee even if it is due to poor construction and defective materials. They claim a lifetime warranty, but then charge you more than the glasses are worth every time you need a replacement. I love that they are polarized and have several lenses, however many other brands also offer that option for a better rate and with a better warranty policy. I would say that these would be overpriced at [$], however I would consider recommending them at that price.
