    Rated5out of5byfromhappy with cast iron skilletNot much I can say about a cast-iron skillet other than the build quality is good and the pre-seeding appears to have been done well. If you're not aware, cast-iron is excellent at heat retention and eveness in cooking. It also does an amazing job at browning meat. "Seeded" cast-iron (meaning the process of embedding cooking oil within the grain) acts as a natural non-stick surface when done correctly. In my experience it works quite well. Yes cast-iron is heavy. You also need to correctly clean and seed it. Those are not negatives, just the nature of using this type of cookware. If you are ok with that, it does an excellent job at cooking.
