Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
These gaiters are an extremely good value. They don't fit quite as nicely as other (more expensive) gaiters I've seen in that they seem a bit puffy around the legs (for me) rather than fitted close, but I'm willing to overlook that for the cost savings. I purchased a Medium, and I'm a womens size 8 shoe. A Small might have worked better, since I have to pull the cinch strap at the top all the way to the tightest setting and it still feels like it could go further. But, they've never fallen down, let in snow, or let water in all the times I've worn them snowshoeing. I'll be taking these hiking - hopefully with the same success.

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
These are a nice pair of gaiters for a variety of conditions. I've used them many times, doing anything from backpacking, to keep debris and moisture out of my boots, to snowshoeing in very deep snow. They've been durable except for 2 small holes, which I sewed up and haven't experienced any problem with. They fit well and stay up on your legs pretty well. They can be difficult to get around bigger boots though, as the circumference at the bottom is a little too tight, and they won't fit my big pack boots at all.
They have a nice combo of breathability and water-resistance. After a warm day of activity, they can get a little steamy inside. They hardly let any moisture in from outside though.

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
I'd not worn gaiters before but these kept my hiking shoes and socks dry in brief rain and clean hiking on dusty & muddy trails. They are not waterproof but are not advertised as such. The top cinch stayed closed and the under-shoe buckle and strap are sturdy and easy on-off. They were comfortable & lightweight. Well worth the cost!

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
Best gaiter for the money I have seen. Tried some OR bottom-of-the-line gaiters and they felt flimsy compared to these. They aren't goretex, but they work great for what I've used them for - mostly mountaineering and snow-travel. Good solid material and bottom strap/buckle. Top cinch snap sometimes comes undone if you don't tuck in the tail of the cinch strap. I just tighten up the tops and shove the tail down inside the gaiter and that keeps em on.

I used my gaiters hiking up to the top of Kilimanjaro. They kept the dust and dirt out of my boots perfectly. In the winter, I put them through heavy uses when I go snowshoeing in North Vancouver. They have never once shifted around or disappointed me. I love a pair of gaiters that just do their job, and these ones do.

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
I used these gaiters on a few climbing/hiking trips. I found them to be adequately waterproof, but without a breathable membrane (ie: Goretex) they got very steamy inside.
After about 10 days of use, they were muddy, so I threw them in the washing machine. A seam blew out, and now they don't work.
A good pair of gaiters should last 10 YEARS on trail, not just 10 days.

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
Great Gaiters for the price. Although, because they don't breath well, condensation builds up on the inside causing wet legs/pants. Other than that, they have worked well for me, protecting my expensive mountaineering pants from abrasion as well as not allowing any dirt or snow to enter the boot. Make sure you treat yours with an waterproof spray/wash in, they are not waterproof as advertised.

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
Bought these for trudging through the snow with my dog. Sank in to the top many times but no problem with leakage at the top or bottom. They seem very durable, easily fending off brush and small branches. The fit is very good. I expect them to work fine for my next Mount Shasta trek. Overall thumbs up!

Comments about Otto All Season Gaiters - Special Buy:
Used these on a 5 day backcountry hiking trip in DNP&P. Lots of thick low brush, lots of moderate stream crossings and one decent sized stream crossing. Aside from the deeper stream, these things never let any water in. The elastic around the bottom was definitely a plus compared to my hiking partners' OR gaiters that cost 3 times as much. Easy to put on, and very durable in the thickest brush. It was early season, so my legs didn't get too hot, though I could see these getting pretty warm in the summer. Definitely worth the price.
