Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

This is a great all-around cup and lid. It is lightweight. It is wide enough that it fits on top of an aluminum alcohol stove or small gas stove to boil water. You can also place an aluminum alcohol stove and a small bottle of denatured alcohol inside the cup.
The other great thing about this cup is the measurements INSIDE the cup.
I carry this cup in my backpack, wouldn't go anywhere without it.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

Awesome pot/mug. It was all I used for cooking/eating during my 2012 AT thru-hike. Good size and capacity. Very lightweight, so great for backpacking. Kinda expensive, but all backpacking gear is expensive. I accidentally dropped mine off a mountain, and watched in horror as it went rolling and banging down into the abyss. So I bought a new one. It's a good pot. If you're a solo backpacker don't bother with those cute pots-and-pans sets, just get one of these. Also, Snowpeak makes good titanium sporks. Get one of those, too.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

I'd been eyeing this for a long time and finally picked it up. It's lightweight, and my stove and fuel can fit inside making it a compact unit. Lid does flap around a bit, but from other reviews can be replaced with a jetboil lid.

Crucial! if you don't want that metal taste (you know, the one that completely destroys a dish or beverage!!) You get ZERO ... metal taste!!

Super lightweight and strong... open fire safe too!
you will get a bit of a patina even after scrubbing, but it's clean ;)

This cup will last forever so for the price - its pretty cheap, but it's only a cup and at [$] it should be labeled "more expensive than the challis Christ drank from at the last supper"

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

I've been using this pot for 2 years and several 9-days backpacking trips, i noticed that the lid looks made with a much heavyer material as the titanium mug: Actually it seems to be stainless steel, and you can notice it on the picture!
So if you're an Ultralight i would suggest looking for a lighter 100% titanium pot.On my last 9-days hike lid stayed at home(too heavy), replaced it by aluminum foil.
Othervise it is a nice-sized pot,the lid has a clip allowing extracting hot water(for tea or pasta cooking), and the pot keep the food warm very long.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug:

The capacity on this will rehydrate a dinner and make a cup of coffee. I have used it as the ONLY cooking apparatus on a trip with 4 people. We boil a pot of water, make a hot drink and a Mountain House meal for two since it's in its own container to eat, meanwhile boil up another for the second set of meals and a drink, and boil up one more if we need more drinks.

I take with me 2-4 titanium sporks (or just make a couple really quickly out of sprouting palm fronds) and some 1-cup plastic cups for the drinks.

On my own, I don't bring anything but the canteen, Snow Peak's titanium spork (also a fave), and a small cup. I boil water for my drink (which goes in the cup) then cook my own home-made dehydrated meal in it. It's perfect.

It also fits on top of my Bush Buddy Stove, although I plan to get the 900 ml version soon (which is the perfect size to store and carry the stove).
