I shopped around a bit and had seen product reviews on other sites complaining about this stand being difficult to install and keep firmly in place but I've had zero trouble in either regard.

While installing the rack I repositioned it a few times until it was perfectly plumb. The instructions were simple and concise. The bike hangers are a snap to assemble and level.

I take my bike on and off the rack frequently and it hasn't budged in over a month since I installed it.

It's a little fiddly to get this set up plumb, but once you get the length set right and the foot lever down, it's solidly in place. Admittedly, I'm in an apartment building with concrete floor and ceiling, so I don't have to worry about any give in the ceiling.

I live in a small apartment with no storage and four bikes. The Topeak B2 Bike Stand helped me create more room in my apartment. It was easy to set up (remember to read directions) and easy to customize for each bikes size. I can get the bikes on/off the stand quick and easy. It worked with lighter bikes and mountain bike. I would get a second one if I had room for it.

A decent rack for the price paid. Easily holds two bikes and depending on ceiling height you could get a 3rd bracket and add it. No issues with movement once installed. Had for a year now and getting ready to buy a second one for additional bikes with my REI dividend check. :-D

This was one of my better REI Garage Sale finds. Someone returned it because it "would not stay standing". It was clearly user error. I will admit that to get a snug fit to a good ceiling joist is not the easiest thing in the world. However, once it is firmly and properly in place it makes for a great storage space saver for bikes.

Of the 4 or 5 different racks I've had over the years this is the best yet. I have two installed in my garage and never had a problem. Easy to position and move if necessary. Both have been in place for two years with no issues, unlike the other racks that I've purchased. It is expensive but if you need easy access and don't want to hang your bikes this is the one to get. I have never had to locate a stud in the ceiling of my garage for the top as other have mentioned. A general problem with all these styles is that if you have brakes cables on your top tubes the hangars tend to stretch them a bit as the bikes rests on these cables..

This is a great product. I have this set up in my dining room. I admit, I was a bit sketchy on using this to hold my Cervelo and the Wifey's Spec bike, But I quickly tested it out with both of our mtn bikes and gave it a good shake and all was good. This even stayed put during a few of SoCal's wonderful earthquakes.The only bad thing about this is it's a bit pricey. It's best to buy this with at least a[$] coupon plus a nice dividend.So...on that note, I'm ordering a second one for the mtn bikes.

Moved into a small apartment and space is definitely limited. I replaced an old two bike rack because this one takes up very little floor space. I've hung 30+ mountain bikes, road bike and commuter bikes on this thing without any problems. No issues with falling over...18 months and counting. I'm waiting for another 20% off sale to buy another...my only gripe, it's a bit expensive.
