I commute to work 15 miles a day and take my vacations via bicycle with tours ranging from 500-1500 miles.
I loved these for about the first 500 miles. The plastic at the back of the cleat started to roll and wear badly by about 750 miles and they were about useless due to deformity before 1,000 miles. I had to replace them. As the plastic wore down, they became increasingly difficult to clip in, especially the left foot. At the end, they were difficult to release too. Unfortunate that the plastic is such poor quality because I really liked this system at the beginning.

I've tried other brands, and Shimanon's system is my favorite because it's very stable and easy to clip into. This design has a good amount of surface area which contributes to the stability. My last pair lasted over 4,000 miles & now it's time to replace them.

It's a single sided entry system, but it's great because the pedals are always hanging in position for a smooth clip-in.

These are very durable cleats that provide secure connections to the pedals. I like th yellow indicator that, when rubbed off after much use, indicates it is time to get new cleats.
