The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5bylindsayibarrafromLove Topeak and REII was skeptical to attaching a rack on my bike, because I thought it would add weight and take away from the streamline look of my bike. It did neither. Now, I can go on bike rides and ride freely without having something strapped to my back. Love it! Can't wait to get a basket attachment for grocery shopping.
Also, REI is amazing. They helped me pick out the right rack for me. AND they even installed it for free, since I joined the rewards program that day. Their customer service is probably the best out there, and happy to be a member.

Rated4out of5byfujiman148fromJust what I needed. They gentleman that helped me pointed this out as well as installed it for me while I waited. It works like a charm. My brake light fits on it perfect and my new panniers ride alot more comfortable than slinging a cycling bags. Good investment.

Rated5out of5byKoowipfromLook no furtherI use this for a 40mi daily commute to hold my panniers. The thing just flat-out works. The black finish is pretty durable & scratch resistant. Unlike other racks, I will transfer this one from bike to bike as needed.
If I could change one thing, it would be to add screw holes to the bottom for mounting fenders. It's kind of dumb having to share one hole in the frame for both.

Rated5out of5byCatmanfromExcellent productI bought this rack to repurpose my old mountain bike to a city bike/grocery hauler since I was retiring and would have more time to do everything by bike. The rack fit my mid-90's Trek perfectly. I didn't time the installation process but it took no longer than just bolting the rack to the bike. A slight bending of the struts extending to the seat stays was needed but this step was addressed in the instructions and anticipated. Once the rack was attached it was very rigid. I have been using the rack with an Ortleib Velo-shopper and couldn't be happier. Somethings in life just work and all the pieces are there - this rack just happened to be one of them!

Rated4out of5byFarterfromIt's a rack!I bought this rack to install on a used hybrid Giant bike. I didn't have any Hex wrenches so the REI bike shop had it installed in 15 minutes ($22~), which is nice.
Adding 10 to 15 pounds to the rack makes the bike ride smoother, which is a cool benefit of having a rack and/or basket.
I bought the matching black Topeak basket that slides onto the rail and locks. Works well and is secure, though the handle on the basket shook itself off and fell into and bended around the cassette. Poor design there. The basket also sits very close the the posterior perimeter, and at times I wish the rack/basket were an inch lower. I raised my bike seat angle so it's not a big deal but this is a factor I had not considered and there might be better options out there.
Rack = good, is very "rack-like" and I look forward to hanging things on it in the future.
Basket = works but the handle is useless. I'd just rip the thing off before it rattles free and blinds a chicken

Rated5out of5byimdreamingfromGood for commutingI mounted this to my Cannondale Qucik 4 in about 30 minutes. It was necessary to use a socket wrench to hold the nut while turning the hex head bolt. The light mounting hardware included didn't work with my rear light (CatEye), but the light itself came with hardware that worked. I'm using a single Novarra Round Town pannier. This fits perfectly and does not get hit by my heels.

Rated5out of5byJimJam007fromAwesomeHave put these on every bike I own and have owned. Only drawback is that the light clip on the rear isnt as tough and thick as the rest of the rack. But I dont use the clip anyway, so no big deal for me.

Rated4out of5byCFURYfromJust what I neededThis was very easy to install (<5min). Very stable, a little heavy but that comes with the strength for the price. Works great with my panniers.
I asked an REI online associate to recommend a rack for my specific bike model and this is the one that was recommended to me.
