    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not great does not tighten properly ont seat post, too much movement, not worth buying will do better with a fixed one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, convenient, sturdy I purchased a Montague folding bike and intend to travel on airplanes with it. Being able to quickly remove this rack without tools is definitely a plus for this purpose. Also, the removable side pannier guards add to the stow ability of this rack-it can break down into smaller more easily packed pieces. It is not intended for exceedingly heavy loads, but it should be able to handle commuting burdens. Love the quick release aspect of this system and the compatibility with Topeak's whole line of bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what its supposed to do Bought this originally as my vintage Stumpjumper did not have mounting points for a rack. It has since found its way on to a Bianchi mountain bike and I like it on there. I don't use the optional slide on luggage, I basically use it to carry my u-lock, extra clothes and occasionally stuff from the store, all held on it via bungee cord. The bike and rack go everywhere, everyday, on and off road, through sun, rain and snow. Mounting is simple and secure.Installed properly it does not move, ever, on the seatpost no matter where my bike goes. I have the v type and it also doubles as a good rear fender. My only concern with it is that its easy to steal, for a while I had it cabled and locked to my frame for protection. Now I just live dangerously.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Good I can't vouch for the MTX bags that slide in there, I got this because a standard rack won't mount to my road bike, which I use to commute with. I like this cause it's easy to take on and off quickly, so if I want to go out for a ride I can take it off easy and not have that weight back there, and if I need to carry something with me it snaps right back on. The elastic bands that come with it are pretty stretchy too, so it's pretty easy to strap a lot of size/shape packages to the back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional, Works Great With Trunk Bag I got this primarily for use with one of the Topeak Rack Trunks that slide on. I use this combination on my 29er for casual rides because I like to take a lot of stuff: spare tubes, mini pump, Gorillapod, etc. I was hoping the quick release clmap would be just that, an easy way to take the carrier off when I don't want it. Not so. You can remove it easier than a carrier bolted to the frame, but it is not as easy as it should be. Directions say you can use an Allen key to adjust the fit. You can't. The binder bolt has a hex head that fits into a hex socket, so you can't turn the bolt. That being said, you can adjust the tension by rotating the clamping lever, but it is a coarse adjustment at best. Watch the clamp lever position. The first time I rode with the carrier, I had a bruise on my thigh from the clamp hitting my thigh while I rode. I ended up using the clamp in a not recomended position and had no more problems with bruising and the carrier still held firm. The rack platform is sturdy and I got five seasons out of it before the binder bolt rusted and I had to relace the carrier. Oil or grease the bolt regularly to prevent this.
