Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

I own and ride a mountain bike and a road bike. That's all I own for transportation. I was not very impressed with this pump. When having to use it on my road bike tubes I always reached a point where I couldn't add more than 70 psi in the tube. My road bike tires needed 110 psi. I like the idea of a having a pressure gauge. So I invested in a mini pump that comes with a pressure gauge although I am aware that it may be a little bit inaccurate but at least it goes up to 160psi, I am going to try it and will see if I am more satisfied with it's capacity.

Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

great pump, but its easy to damage your valve stem if you are not carefull, or if you use it as a main go to pump. (which is not really its design)

use it as a emergency only pump(which is its entended purpose), and you shouldn't have the valve stem issue that i have.

Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

This is a good pump for emergency use. It does take some effort on 700c tires near the end but what mini-pump doesn't? My fave method of use is to use this pump to start filling a tire to check that none of the tube is under the tire's bead (having any under it will result in a nasty and loud popping of your new tube). Once the tube is on its way, I then use a 16g CO2 to quickly fill it up so I can get going ASAP. As for the lame dust plug--either cut it off or leave it on and cover the entire end of the pump with a 1-inch section of old mtb tube like a giant rubberband. That really keeps stuff out.

Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

This pump is excellent! Easily attaches under the water bottle holder and does not interfere with your foot when pedaling. Nice sturdy construction for a small item at an affordable price point. Went out with it one time so far and sure enough had to pump up a flat. Was worried that it would be hard to pump but that was not the case at all. Was impressed with how easily it pumped (did not pump up to full 95 psi, just enough to make it home...guessing 70 psi). Definitely would buy again.

Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

I already had a minipump, but I wanted one that I could fit directly onto the frame of my road bike. It fits nicely next to my water bottle. Fairly lightweight and does a better job than my other minipump: you get more pressure out of this pump and pump up the tube faster than you would expect. Perfect for on the road!

Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

I like this pump for the size and ease of use. Although for my MTB, using 26X2.1 takes a some time to pump the tires to 35 PSI. Also, I'm not sure if its the amount of strokes or the increasing pressure, but the handle by the valve begins to get pretty warm. Nice thing is that its easy to pump to the higher pressures, it just takes a lot of them. Probably be better for a road bike with lower volume of air.

Comments about Topeak Pocket Master Blaster Pump:

I have carried this pump in my backpack for my 18 mi. commute the last three years. It gets used if I need to top up at work, or get a flat. As an "emerg" pump it is perfect. Yes the stroke is shorter than other pumps but it gets me up to 90 psi in no time and is totally worth the weight savings. Completely reliable & does both valve flavors (super easy to swap). Neither a bigger or a smaller pump would serve me any better. Insignificant complaint: The pump head plug doesn't stay in place.
