I bought one these based upon all the 5 stars review. What a mistake. I usually do not write reviews but felt compelled due to the inherent design flaw. Namely, the button that you slide back to insert the keyring is prone to slipping. I can't tell you the number of times when all of the keyrings were loose in my pockets. I didn't fret about it until, one day, I somehow lost my carkey! Luckily, I had a spare but constantly digging in my pocket to find a bunch of loose keyrings is not a pleasant feeling to have. I regrat making this purchase.

LOVE this keychain! I am an avid runner and love that fact that I can literally unhook a set of keys and put them in my running shorts during my run. Then hook my keys back into my key chain. Literally takes 2 seconds :).

I bought this keychain on whim while checking out of one of the Atlanta REI stores...9 YEARS AGO....and it still works great! The paint's completely worn off and I lost the caddy-clip-thingy (which..it'd be nice to order another one), but that's it.

I came back online thinking about buying a new one but heck...why?!?!? :)

The diameter of the rings is small enough that forcing on one of those car keys with a big rubbery head pushes the ring beyond the point it can recover. That ring - with your car key - just keeps falling off the unit. I'll have to see if I can find a larger diameter ring made of fine enough metal that it will still fit through the hole in order to make the thing work. I hope so because it's a design that fits a need.

This keyring is exactly what I was looking for. Seems durable, easy to put rings on and take them off, and I don't have to carry 25 keys with me everywhere I go - I can leave the ones I don't need at home.

Mine just broke down after 8-10 years of use!!! I immediately ordered another one (luckily REI still carries it). This is the best keychain on the planet, I kid you not. It's small, durable and extremely convenient. I keep my car, home, and work keys on separate rings, so on weekend or vacation I can easily remove keys I don't need to carry. It takes a second to remove/attach a section (I can do it without looking). When I go to car shop, I just give them car key while still having my home keys attached on my belt. Sometimes when I'm about to drive away, I realize I forgot something home, so I can just remove needed key with ease leaving car running. I even have tiny flashlight attached to one section, so when I need it I can snap it off leaving everything else on my belt :) Only thing I would do to improve it is add another ring or two. But now I will be able to transplant them from the broken one :)

i got this a few months back and use it daily. It's easy to extract a key yet not flimsy that you might accidentally lose a key. I like that if I have to valet park my car that I don't have to leave my whole key fob. The keys stay separate w/o getting tangled which has been a problem w/ other key rings. I like this one so much I'm going to get a 2nd one for my other set of keys.

You might find this item at your local hardware store in stainless steel. It is the same great idea- but you need this in the anodized aluminum model... it will provide better service (Losing keys is a nightmare) and last longer.

As a restaurant manager with a ****-load of keys, I can actually give a trusted team member a cooler key without locking myself out of my own office. Better yet, I can count on this thing to NOT FALL APART and spread my keys across the floor.

If you ever lend your keys out or hate being Mr. Jing-a-Ling... This gizmo allows you to take/keep the keys you NEED. Not the entire ring.
