Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
I've used this bowl for a few years now, it's super durable and is really easy to clean. As a plus, it also fits perfectly around the edge of my stuff sack that contains my sleeping pad so it doesn't even take up any room in my bag. The main problem I have with this bowl is what some reviewers have previously mentioned, it will burn you if you put warm food in it (I always have oatmeal in the mornings on backpacking trips). My other issue is that because it's steel with no insulation, your warm food that makes the bowl too hot to touch will become too cold to enjoy in a matter of minutes. If you're wearing gloves, the burning part really isn't that big of a deal, but the fact that I have to scarf down my food really quickly to avoid it getting too cold is kind of annoying. Other than that, this is a great bowl - if you do a lot of cold weather backpacking, I'd probably go with plastic instead.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
Bought two of these for the kids to use during a car trip to Disney. A perfect size with deep depth for kid snacks while in the car.
Plan to use them later for picnics, overland expeditions, etc.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
I have a few of these and they are great cause you can cook right on them, however, they do stick together if you stack them up which can be annoying. Still debating at times the plastic vs metal debates, but I think the convenience of being able to cook in it definitely is a plus.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
I've used this on many a camping trip. It's shape is perfect--I have never wished for anything larger or smaller, nor have I found myself in want of a plate. This holds everything you could ask of it. As metal, it does conduct heat fairly effectively, but that is the trade-off. Also, it is not very heavy at all.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
Good bowl but doesn't have measurements, loop, and cool thing on the bottom. Also this is $4 more. Do yourself a favor and get a Sea To Summit Delta Bowl or X-Bowl.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
Good, sturdy, and simple. The other reviewers have it pretty well covered ( I only have one, so stacking is not an issue, but I see how it could be). It seems sturdy enough to use as a bear-proof helmet for a baby. I was most excited when I discovered it doubles as a zen bell/gong when hit with a stick (wrap with some cloth or bandage for better tone). Quite a peaceful way to wake up a traveling buddy.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
I used this bowl for years. I hitchhiked and backpacked through New Zealand 5 years ago by myself and this bowl came charging the whole way. I still have and love it. I would recommend it to anyone as I love MSR and I trust stainless steel to keep my food clean without leeching weird chemicals. The ONLY drawback of this product is hot foods and liquids. I usually only travel with one bowl and use it as a plate/bowl/cup to save weight. I also drink lots of tea at all times. When I make tea in the woods/on the go the bowl will burn your hands when the liquid is fresh off the burner. In winter this is not a problem cause of gloves and the desire to have a hand warmer, so its not a major con at all, but keep this in mind when purchasing. I LOVE THIS BOWL!

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
Great product. I use it at home and outdoors. It's heavier than the titanium bowls but the price makes it worth it because I'm not afraid to throw it around and get it dinged up (even though that has yet to happen).
The best part is that if you get a pot lifter and pack about a square foot of aluminum foil it can double as a pot to boil some water or cook up a small meal. All you have to do is buy two bowls and pot lifter. Best of all even after that you still haven't spent as much as you did on a titanium vessel.
Overall great stuff. Only thing that could be a problem is the weight but really that's not that big of a deal.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
As another reviewer noted, the bowls are hard to separate when they are stacked. We are a family of four so I bought four bowls and keep them stacked to conserve space. When the bowls are dry, there is some effort to separate but not impossible. On our last camping trip I had washed the bowls and stacked them without drying as I didn't have a towel. Now two of the bowls are impossible to separate as the water created a vacuum seal between the two. I've tried using pliers but to no avail. I will be returning these and look for other brands.
