These socks are so soft to the touch and they fit great-not tight but they hug your feet. Also, some crew socks do not come up high enough on the leg and these do. That's the main reason I bought them at first. They don't bind the calf either but they stay up nicely. I have worn Smart wool socks which are good socks but these fit me so much better and are more comfortable for me because of the tops. I am a fairly tall person but I have small feet, these come in a small size-just perfect!. I would recommend them to anyone. I haven't done a lot of hiking in them yet but they have done well wearing them all day walking. THey wash nicely too.

I wear these socks for work and hiking/backpacking. My feet tend to tire quickly, but these socks offer a good amount of instep support and cushion where needed. Drying time is overnight when I've needed to wash them in the field.
