Rated1out of5bymaks dadfromNOT my dads SorelsI work for the railroad and am walking on rocks all day. I just tried these for the last 3 days in 13 degree weather. MY FEET WERE COLD!!!! I thought maybe my feet just don't deal well with the cold since the rest of me was warm. I put my hands in the boots and there was definitely a chill inside. I WILL be taking this back and Hope I can find something I can find that stands up to their reputation

Rated5out of5byLynn TerryfromCaribou by SorelAfter losing a pair of knock-off Sorels to flooding in 2011 I was looking to replace my "pack" boots this winter. This time around I went with the name brand Sorels offered at REI. After 5 days of hunting in cold and snowy conditions I am more than happy with my investment. First and foremost I wanted a boot that would keep my feet warm. The second consideration, a waterproof boot for marshy and snowy conditions. Third, good traction. These Sorels have met or surpassed my expectations in all three categories. I can't wait to break them out again whether it be for a quick walk in the winter landscape or for a full day's hunt. I would recommend these boots highly.

Rated1out of5byrsharrerfromNot waterproofReceived these as a gift. After reading reviews here I did a waterproof test on brand new boots. Failed. In about 6" of water left boot leaked at point where leather meets rubber outsole. I would not trust these in winter conditions in the Sierra Nevada where I would be using them. I will be returning for these for a refund.

Rated1out of5byJust EnoughfromGood for............NOTHING!I work out side 8 hours a day through the Wisconsin winters, thats the best product test i can think of. And these boots fail! There is no difference in warmth between them and my non-insulated Danner leather boot. They do stay dry but you can't feel your feet to tell.
