Comments about Seattle Sports Dual Chamber Paddle Float:
Bought this self-rescue float to be stored on my latest sea kayak. (I have several boats.) Expected this to be an item that might save my life if I were to capsize in cold waters. Luckily I tested it in moderate temperatures during a leaders' workshop weekend. The very flimsy, light-weight buckle cracked in two places during my first solo re-entry drill. The float was now useless! I had to ask another kayaker for assistance to get me back into my kayak. I was disappointed, but glad that it happened with other paddlers around.
I know that plastic buckles do break, but the buckle model installed on this float was just too light weight for the job.
