Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
Best trainer I have ever owned. Pricier than comparable models, but company stands behind their product with excellent warranty. I spents weeks comparing at other trainers. Unless you want one with electronic resistance adjustment and power output meters, this is as good as it gets.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
This trainer has been great for me to hop on in the winter here in Denver. One con is that the fluid seems to take 15-20 minutes to "warm up", but I guess that can really serve as a warm up period for your workout before it provides more resistance. It is also a little loud, but nothing compared to older trainers.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
I love this thing. It requires about $100 of additional accessories, but so does the competitor's fluid trainer. This thing helps me to get exercise when it's too cold or dark outside, it's an invaluable help and it is very sturdy. I can't fathom the one or two complaints about durability; they MUST be using it incorrectly or putting too much force on it.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
Though I have no previous experience with trainers, this was exactly what I was looking for when the weather is bad in Colorado. It gives me a nice resistance, a good workout, isn't big and bulky, and seems to be well made. Setup was pretty easy.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
I assembled the Fluid 2 in about a half hour; easy.
It is now in my living room with my Trek 7.9 FX
mounted. I usually ride an hour a day while watching TV. The Fluid 2 is very stable and quiet even using upper gears and the floor pad catches any perspiration. I am age 77 and highly recommend the Fluid 2 for anyone who wants a good winter riding trainer.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
This was a great purchase. I had read some reviews suggesting that stability could be an issue, but I have no issues. And I'm able to do early morning workouts in my family room, right below the bedrooms without a sound upstairs.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
I'm getting back into cycling after nearly 20 yrs. I'm conditioning my body and budget slowly. I'm 6' 2" and holding at 225 pounds. I had my '87 Fuji Palisade (steel/27inch wheels) road bike serviced/upgraded recently and bought a Cannondale F7 for the trails. Had a great Spring/Summer enjoying riding again.
Winter weather and a desire to be in better shape in the Spring prompted the purchase of the CycleOps Fluid 2 and a riser block. The trainer is very easy to set up and works great with the 27 inch wheels. Very stable considering my size and weight (nearly 250 with the steel bike). The trainer feels solid, smooth with shifting and no wobbling.
This is my first trainer so I can't compare the noise level to others but I would not consider it loud. Sitting the trainer on carpet/towel and didn't have to turn the television volume up at all. Noise level only goes up slightly as cadence/speed increases.
30 minutes on the trainer and I'm sweating just as much as a late Spring afternoon on the road. Looking forward to keeping the steel on the trainer and taking a new alum or carbon bike out next Spring.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
This product worked great and helped keep me in shape through the winter months. However, I later noticed that it leaked and fluid was running across the mat and soaking into my carpet.

Comments about CycleOps Fluid 2 Bike Trainer:
I originally planed to use the trainer when I don't have the time to get out and bike during the day. But after I bought it, I changed my mind. There were nothing wrong with the trainer at all. It was a solid build. What the problem was is the noise and shake it has. I live in an apartment(1st floor), it is ok when I was on the low gear, but once I kick it into the high gear, the noise gets exponentially louder. The grounds shakes as well. So I returned it because I don't want to make my neighbors angry.
So I guess buy it if you have a house.
