Rated4out of5byBad Marriagefromall time favorites...Perfection in a backpacking boot... Tough, waterproof, great traction, awsome looks, all the support you need, and a relatively lightweight, very comfortable package. I've grown through three pairs over the years. Now find that the version sold as "wide"... really isn't. Have to move on to find something with a bit more room for my abused feet.

Rated4out of5byGuzziRiderfromDon't buy too wide.Just returned from a rim-to-rim walk in the Grand Canyon, then a brief walk to Nevada Falls in Yosemite. The boots performed brilliantly carrying light loads, water, trail food, etc. Traveled via motorcycle to those destinations and wore the boots while riding. Again, they stood up to riding in all conditions and stayed comfortable. They were a good purchase.

Rated1out of5byhiker 50fromTore up my feetI tried these in the store several times before I bought them. I thought they would be good for backpacking. I dayhiked in these for a while and did some city hikes and the Asolos seemed ok, so off I went on a four day backpack in Yosemite. It was hot, in the 90s, and rugged of course. The boots held up to the terrain fine with good grip and protection, but at the cost of my feet. I rarely get blisters or smashed toes, but got a blister the first day and another one the next day the last day I got two smashed toes even though I went up a half size on these boots. I was really disappointed. I came home and gave them to charity. I hope someone else had better luck with them.
