by fromStrong, strong, strong! Great alpine runner! I have many and they perform well. I have no doubts about falling on these. Not as light as the Mammut Dyneema slings, but who cares? I will continue to buy these slings. The weight savings between these and the Mammuts is negligible. It's sort of psychological pro in that these are thicker and when doubled up they feel indestructible.

by fromGreat Inexpensive Runner I have both the shoulder length and double shoulder length runners. These runners are extremely versatile from toprope setup to the use as a sling.

by fromBomber! These slings are great for 2 reasons. 1) They have nylon as a base material, 2) they have dyneema threaded through them. What this means is that you have the strength of dyneema and the slight elacticity of nylon. We all know that shock-loading dyneema/spectra cord is really bad along with adding a knot in dyneema/spectra is also bad. However with these runners you have the nylon to allow a bit of give. I would avoid knotting them in general but for alpine draws they are great. Yep, you add a bit of weight due to the dual material construction but that makes them more versatile for anchors and whatnot. Great strength considering the weight. These are by far the last thing I think about in the system as far as strength is concerned.

by from9/16 is not the width... I own a bunch of the old ones, and wanted to get a couple new, and a couple replacements, these are thinner than advertised here... BW says they are 13mm, 9/16 is 14.3mm. Doesn't sound like much but it is noticable, and I really don't like them for that.

by fromThinner than expected Unlike the older Bluewater Spectra, this measures 7/16" instead of 9/16". Very strong and lightweight but does not exactly suit my purpose. I really needed 9/16".
