Comments about Thorlo Walking Crew Socks:
I've been wearing these Thorlo walking socks for about 4 years now, and (this may sound crazy)they have changed my life for the better... I have chronically cold feet. Seattle is cold and damp for 6 months of the year. I've found that these socks keep my feet, and whole body warm. I wear them to work, and outdoor activities. I wear them under my nice boots; they would be a little thick for nice dress shoes. They are also lightly padded on the bottom offering an additional benefit. They wash really well, and if you use fabric softener, as the manufacturer recommends they come out super soft.

After a single day use and one trip through the washer, the heel was in tatters. QA was asleep that day.

Comments about Thorlo Walking Crew Socks:
It's not often I rave about . . . a pair of socks, however, these deserve pages of praise. Most of my life, I bought the cheapest socks I could find for general day-to-day work, the gym, and fitness walking. I'd typically buy those big bags of crew socks at a department store. Those same department store socks rarely lasted 6 months, and almost always generated blisters, and never wicked moisture. To be sure, I spared no cash for good quality hiking socks, but the idea of spending almost ten bucks for a pair of work or walking socks seemed absurd. Wrong again!By accident, I got a pair of these in a little backpacking store while I was picking up other items. I tried them, and immediately noticed how dry they were following a shift of work, rigorous walks, and daily workouts at the gym. Moreover, after a few months of steady use, and machine washings and dryings, they didn't suffer the usual holes worn in the sole, heel, or toe areas that cheap socks did. In 2000, I was issued a $100.00 clothing allowance from an employer. I took the risk and purchased 10 pair of Thorlo Walking socks, based on my short experience with one pair worn once weekly. Some of those socks lasted better than 5 years. So, if you factor the seemingly high price over the long duration, they are indeed a good investment in something that will well outlast the garden variety department store socks. Thorlos wear like iron, feel like fine silk, stay dry, and never generate blisters. I won't consider anything but Thorlos for my all purpose socks.
