Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
I ordered two pairs based on the positive reviews here. The socks seemed well made and were very soft and comfy, but they were so thick they wouldn't fit in my boots. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere so I wanted to add this warning. They'd be great if your boots are sized for such thick socks. I'm sending them back and will try the Thorlo "light" socks instead.

Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
I always used one kind of socks - for years. Decided to try some other types. I ordered 5 kinds of socks at the same time and these Thorlo's are so great that I went back and ordered a lifetime supply before they get changed or discontinued! I do heavy mountain hiking here in Japan and these socks are great!

Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
Warm but well ventilated, comfy, and durable. Other modern wool socks, many of which I have worn, become less comfortable when worn for extended periods (such as for long backpacking trips) and wear out after only a year or two. These socks avoid both problems.
Shortly after buying them, as a test I wore them continuously every day for as long as I could. After about 3 weeks of unchanging comfort I decided they'd more than proved themselves.

Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
These are great socks, but I caution that while writing this I have two very small blisters (both in the same spot on both feet). That said, I really liked these socks and will continue to use them.

Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
I used to combine silk and wool socks for long hikes with heavy loads, but over the past two years I've switched entirely to these Thorlos. I don't just recommend these to friends, I buy them for friends. I've never even experienced a "hot spot" with these socks.

Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
These socks top all others I have used. Great durability, don't bunch up, and extra padding where it counts.

they are very comfortable non itch and good for light hikes. I though they were better than the smartwool.

Comments about Thorlo Trekking Socks:
I wore these while hiking the A.T. with a 40 to 50 pound pack, through cold wet weather and heat as well. Never had one blister the entire 2 weeks. I've been wearing various Thorlos for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with them. They last a long time (I'm still wearing every pair I've bought.)
