1. What is the return policy for REI-OUTLET.com items?
The REI satisfaction guarantee ensures that every item you purchase at REI meets your high standards or you can return it for a replacement or refund. You can return REI-OUTLET.com purchases at any REI store or by mail.
2. Are REI-OUTLET.com items available in the REI stores?
No. REI-OUTLET.com bargains are available exclusively online so that we can keep our prices as low as possible. Offering these bargains at REI stores, through REI mail order, or on REI.com would involve special purchases, which would raise expenses and product prices. The REI-OUTLET.com shopping experience is unique—these products are not available at these prices through REI stores.
3. Do I receive a member refund/dividend on REI-OUTLET.com purchases?
No. Sale/clearance/discounted items (prices ending in $._9 or $._3) do not count toward the REI member refund on your annual dividend.
4. What are "closeouts"?
Items in discontinued colors, sizes or styles that are no longer part of a brand's current product line.
5. What are "overstocks"?
Over-bought products sold to REI-OUTLET.com in order to reduce inventory.
6. What are "seconds"?
Items offered to REI at a discount because of minor blemishes, discoloration or other imperfections that do not affect performance.
7. What are "special buys"?
Items made specifically for REI that are not part of a brand's normal product line.
8. Can I place a special order for an item that you no longer have in stock or that you used to have advertised?
No. Due to the limited quantities of this merchandise, we cannot accept special orders of any kind on REI-OUTLET.com.
9. Can I backorder something that I want?
In some cases you will have the option of backordering items not currently in stock at REI-OUTLET.com. When the option is available, we will identify the backorder-available sizes/colors with asterisks in the Color/Size Info drop-down menu on the product page. Choose the item(s) you'd like and click the "Add to Cart" button to continue with the backorder process. We will not charge your credit card until the item ships. If the backordered item is no longer available, we will cancel the item from your order and notify you via e-mail.
10. I don't see my size listed—is it available?
No. The sizes shown on REI-OUTLET.com are the only sizes we have.
11. Can I get this in another color?
No. The colors shown on REI-OUTLET.com are the only colors we have.
12. How many items can I order?
In order to ensure equal purchasing opportunities for our members and customers, we reserve the right to limit the quantity available for purchase of a particular item. Items purchased on REI-OUTLET.com are intended for personal use, not for resale.
