    Comments about Press-Bot Coffee Press:

Not a huge coffee drinker but do enjoy a good cup in the morning especialy after a cold restless night. One of those why didn't I think of that gadgets. Makes use of something we all carry, nalgene bottles. Paired mine up with a OR bottle parka. Works like a thermos, but a lot lighter. Unlike other reviews didn't find it that hard to assemble and disassemble, just make sure you read the directions. Buddys are gonna lov this thing in the morning.

    Comments about Press-Bot Coffee Press:

This is a neat gadget and I was excited when I first got it. It does work and I've made good coffee with it but be aware of some of the drawbacks. First, it will let coffee grounds slip past the strainer even if you use very course grounds. Second, you will have to experiment a good deal to find the optimum amount of grounds to add. Third, Nalgenes with hot coffee in them are very hot to handle - you will need to wrap something around your bottle not only to protect your hands but also to keep the coffee from getting rapidly cold. Fourth, this thing is fairly awkward to remove from the bottle - it isn't as simple as they advertise, or at least it wasn't for me. I've only used it with coffee, not tea. Bottom line is that it's a cool gadget and beats the heck out of preparing instant coffee in the camp, just be aware of the considerations I've listed.

    Comments about Press-Bot Coffee Press:

The pressbot is genious in my mind. French press coffee on the trail makes up for any of the cons. Get the sleevebot to go along with this and don't worry about the coffee getting cold; mine stayed warm for hours on a 30 degree morning. The coffee grinds don't bother me to much but they do get through a bit. Can be tough to get out but certainly not terrible.

    Comments about Press-Bot Coffee Press:

This little gadget is great for backpacking. It stores right in your nalgene and is light weight. Not bulky like bringing the MSR coffee press. Only drawbacks are that a little of the grinds may seep through (not enough to really notice), it is messy to clean (as every coffee press is), and it is tricky to get the press out of your nalgene. Your coffee does cool faster than in a mug, but it's a Nalgene, not an insulated mug! Overall it is a great backpacking addition for fresh coffee!

    Comments about Press-Bot Coffee Press:

I agree with the other review. Some grounds slip past the screen, but they sink to the bottom of your cup anyway, so it's not a big problem. It is definitely tricky to get used to, and to get out of the bottle. Of course, the plastic on the nalgene gets hot, but is bearable, and your coffee cools down quickly. On the plus side, it makes a strong bottle of coffee. The top of the 'bot screws onto the top of the nalgene, and has a sipping hole so you could have the whole think to yourself. The cap of the nalgene even screws onto that, so you could brew it and take it with you. It's convenient because it's small, light, durable, and you don't need an extra container/pot. Truly, the only drawback is that your coffee cools down quickly.

    Comments about Press-Bot Coffee Press:

Thought that this would be a neat replacement to carrying coffee singles into the woods. Fits easily into any Nalgene bottle. Seals within the Nalgene and you can use the existing Nalgene lid to firmly seal fluids inside, like water, when backpacking. When using, grounds do escape around the press and get into the coffee. Ackward and difficult to get the press out of the Nalgene bottle, making cleanup a mess. Nalgene bottles do not insulate the heat, so you must quickly pour into an insulated cup/mug if you want to have hot coffee. In colder weather, the Nalgene will cool off rapidly.
