Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
I know that the Deva is a very popular pack, but I ended up selling mine and going with a different pack for shorter backpacking trips. I found that it is difficult to load, my stuff just didn't really fit right in it (the bag is narrow and it can be a little difficult to even get my sleeping bag in, not to mention a group cookset, etc). It will only comfortably carry enough for a few nights, and the weight of the pack ends up being a significant portion of its overall packed weight (5lbs 6 oz). The pack is rated 35- 40 lbs and it was only comfy on me up to 25 or 30 lbs. Overall, the bag doesn't make sense for me. Try it out, but don't go with it just because its really popular, make sure it is really right for you.

This was my first overnight pack. I love it. I barely know its on. I load and go. My husband and I go two to three nights. I tried many packs on [...] and this was it. No problems...

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
This pack has lots of pockets and places to store everything. If you like to hike and go on adventures, but if you like to be as organized as I do, this is a great pack for you. I love that I can always find what I'm looking for. It's relatively comfortable for its size, as well.

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
I went on a backpacking trip this summer with my Gregory Deva and I loved it. My pack was easily one of the heaviest packs in the group. Everyone else had cheap external-frame packs and they were all having trouble keeping up. My pack felt great and I was able to keep a very quick pace.

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
Truth-be-told: this is one great pack. It has many nooks and crannies and great "stuffing" capacity. Easy accessibility for when you are on the trail. And the comfort level is perfect. Not too heavy. It took me some time to get it to fit just right and now I couldn't ask for a better pack. Miles and miles into your hikes, this pack will still be working WITH you.

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
I was looking for a small, comfortable pack, and this is it! However, my husband carried both sleeping bags and the tent, so if you have to carry your own, this is not the bag. That water bottle holder would be easier to reach if high on the side. I quit using the bottle and used the bladder with all of its yucky taste.
I like the outside pockets, but wish the center front one could be a little wider. The top cover-detachable fanny pack is great! However, if we ever go on a week-long hike, I'll need a different pack. Carried only 27 lbs. this time by really cutting back, and the weight of the belt was significant, since I traded the small for a large--"Cadillac" version. It was wonderful!
Overall it's a good, compact pack, but the stiff shoulder straps had to be enhanced by stuffing a "World's Softest Sock" under each side.

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
This pack has been wonderful. Has several different ways to get into the main pack, allowing easy access to things that are on the bottom. Outside pockets are a real advantage! Top comes off making a great day hike pack. This pack is very adjustable. I LOVE IT!

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
I have been using an external frame pack for the last few years and I decided it was time to upgrade. The Gregory Deva 60 was a wonderful choice. It is very well built and has a large capacity for my 5 day hikes along the AT. It is soo comfortable and gets the weight of the pack off my shoulders and onto my hips where it is supposed to be. It took a little time to get it fitted just right but now it is super comfortable and versatile enough for all of my needs. You can't go wrong with Gregory, it is just an awesome pack

Comments about Gregory Deva 60 Pack - Women's:
I love the Deva, it is great for 2-3 day back-packing trips and very easy to carry. It sits comfortably on my hips and makes it really nice for uphill hiking and some climbing, even. The way that the weight is distributed on your back makes the whole pack very comfortable and easy to wear. Once I got used to the extra weight I didn't even feel like I had a backpack on!
