Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
We just bought a set of these to replace our heavier flashlights. I really like that you can adjust where the light is pointing and it stays where you put it. The light is very bright at all settings which is great unless you're digging in your pack at night and trying not to blind the driver or wake anyone up. The beam also will light up everything around you instead of just the small area directly in front of you, so you don't have to walk staring at your feet. Rain didn't seem to phase it, neither did getting knocked around a vehicle for almost 2000 miles. The best thing I've found about headlamps as opposed to traditional torches is that your hands are free to be working on other things.

Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
I would have given this light a 5, but I think there is a bit of room for improvement. A brighter setting, or a spotlight mode, while retaining all it's current functionality would be ideal. Otherwise, it produces great light, it's very durable, and has a lifetime warranty, that's hard to beat.
Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
I agree with other reviewers that this light is good enough for 90% of your outdoor needs. I use this light to hike cross-country while approaching alpine climbs in the dark & it's light enough to carry on climbs in case I get caught in the dark.
Unlike one reviewer, I don't have any problems switching between the mode settings & I often use it in the low-light mode to save battery life.

Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
this is a good basic headlamp, seems to be pretty durable and has good battery life. The only problem I have is with the button for switching between different light settings. It seems to be a little hard to operate.

Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
I keep this headlamp in my pack at all times. When I am not hiking, I keep it in my glove box in case I get stuck changing a tire or something at night. It is a great little light but I find the beam is not strong enough for canoing or any other application where the terrain is vast.

Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
I'm a headlamp geek. I have 3, and will pull one out at the drop of a hat.
This is the one I actually use most. Bright and relatively light. Agree button is sticky and could be easier to use.
I bought these as gifts fr family as part of an emergency kit.

I'd say spend the extra 10 bucks and get the next level up. Yeh, its gotten me through for the most part but I see all my buddies with far more powerful headlamps and I wish I had theirs.

Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
I've had this headlamp since I started hiking long distances 7 years ago. I'm not even sure if I replaced the batteries yet. I like the fact that it is waterproof. I never travel without it. Might not be the lightest out there, but it's darn close.

Comments about Princeton Tec Aurora LED Headlamp:
This was great for Burning Man. At night, you need to alert other Burners you are there. The flashing light did just that. Or, you can switch it to high, medium or low beam. High works great in the remote areas and is very bright.
