    I have owned this bag in a basic black for a number of years now. I love this bag! It has turned into my everyday use bag. It fits everything I need for work and school. I can fit a large water bottle in each side pocket for day hikes with my dog. The ONLY downfall is that it's a bit difficult to get a 32oz Nalgene bottle in & out of the side pockets (I have a 10year old dog who likes to drink all of my water!). I'm looking for a second Donner bag with a little color now that I have finally come to the conclusion that I will not find a better day bag.

    This bag is a dream: it holds a day's necessities when travelling or running errands, + a bottle of water, + a folding umbrella! It does not lose your wallet (separate compartment), your change, your phone, or your map. It is reasonably water-resistant, it has yet to show signs of wear and tear (it's been to China, Australia, Europe, and all over the U.S. over the last 5 years) and, best of all, it does NOT look like a girly purse (if you stick to the more demure color-schemes). My only slight reservation is the skinny strap; it makes the bag less comfortable when fully/over-loaded. Then again, that's the moment to reach for another bag.

      I have a VERY old version of this bag. It has been around for many years. I love my old one so much, especially because, in addition to the velcro on the front closure, it ALSO has a really sturdy clip that keeps it shut. I would really like to see them bring back the clip on the outside of the flap.

      I can carry so much stuff. All my personal items AND everything I need to keep my toddler busy and happy. The H2O pockets fit a tall skinny stainless steel bottle perfectly. Strap is comfortable even when over-loaded.

      I want to get another one in a different color, but am holding out hope that they bring back the clip.

              I did lots of research before purchasing this bag 3 months ago. I use it every day and it fits my needs perfectly. If I have my toddler with me, there's room for water bottles for both of us, along with plenty of space for diapers/wipes/snacks/etc. There's also room for my essentials like DL, credit card, keys, money, etc. When I was out of town for the weekend visiting family, this bag was perfect for carrying my guidebook, umbrella, camera, and also held the smaller items I picked up during our little shopping trips. I would purchase this bag again in a heartbeat!

                This product is for everyday use. It was obtained to use in lieu of a bulky backpack. It fits all the important items needed for daily use easily with side compartments for umbrella, water bottle, hand lotion. This was exactly what I was looking for to move from the backpack to something more compact, yet comfortable and stylish. I would like to see this design continued and expanded to include additional unique (yet still durable) fabrics and colors. The color line currently offered is very good. I plan to get one in another color than the black, but do like the black a lot. The sewing on one side by the strap was slightly irregular, but probably noticeable only to someone with a very discerning eye. It is possible the great price I paid was due to that problem. I decided at that price, I could live with it as it did not detract from the rest of the good qualities. I would pay full price for this product in perfect condition because it's that good.

                I've been on a quest for the perfect purse for years. This one nearly fits the bill. I hadn't really planned on buying it, but I was at [...], had extra money to spend and there it was. I'm on the go a lot, and need a purse that is durable, logically-designed and roomy enough to hold my necessities without being a suitcase. The Donner bag holds everything I need, and even encourages me to carry a drink bottle with me. The built-in drink bottle/umbrella holders are discreet, yet will hold full-sized soft-drink bottles and refillable water bottles easily. The flap under which one finds the many pockets for pens, sunglasses, cell phones, etc. has a big strip of tough hook-and-loop tape that locks down securely. The back pocket is big enough to hold my calendar/schedule. The main pocket easily holds my wallet (Zoe wallet - also recommended), digital camera, a small zippered bag of personal care items and a comb with room to spare. The only thing I don't love is the handle/strap. It is adjustable, which is great, but when I adjust it to the length I want, the buckle rides right on my shoulder. Not terribly comfortable, but I may be able to fiddle with it and adjust it down a couple inches. I bought the brown bag, but would have gone for the green if it had been in stock. If Overland ever makes a red one, I'll definitely buy it!

                  I use this product especially while traveling. The pockets on the inside of the purse make my passport and wallet easy for me to access but impossible for a thief to snatch. The water bottle pocket is especially useful. The Velcro is not holding up as well as I would like, but it's still working fine.
