Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
I always have a great deal of trouble finding a hat that fits me, as even xl is usually just a little tight. This one, in large, fits me great and keeps me nice and warm, and completely protected from the wind. The stretch panel in the back is genius. It helps the hat to fit very comfortably without being either too tight or too loose. This hat also fits perfectly over my ears, with the bottom hem hugging close to my face, so that my ears are totally out of any and all chilly wind. it's a warm hat even without the wind protection, but with it it's the perfect winter hat! It's breathable as well. i have not noticed a dramatic reduction in sound after having washed it several times, and the wind-stopping quality has not been compromised.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
One of my major pet peeves of a hat is that it doesn't fit my huge (7 & 7/8)head comfortably. I don't even notice this one is on!
I also have pretty sensitive ears and this hat keeps the wind off them totally. It is a little harder to hear when people are talking to you, but that can be a bonus depending on who you're with.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
I just purchased a Large men's size in this hat but it is my belief that this hat should have been made available in XL also. All jokes aside, this stylish hat is unfortunately a bit too snug for the average man's head.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
I use this hat for trail-running and hiking. It covers my ears very well, and has a good fit to it. I have noticed the small air pocket other users have mentioned, but it doesn't bother me whatsoever. The materials are top-notch. The only drawback for me is running around with a big logo on my forehead... which I fixed with a permanent marker. The hat does muffle sound, but I wear it in my dorm to drown out noise when I'm studying, so that's cool with me.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
This hat is excellent for what it is... extremely warm and wind proof. Yes it is hard to hear but the ear flaps flip up and stay up very easily. If your in a tent with someone who snores just put this hat on and sleep in silence. At first there was an empty section but I soon realize the cap is intended to be pulled ALL THE WAY down on your head so that it almost covers the back of your neck! It may take some breaking in at first though. Nice to find a windproof hat I no longer have to wear my hood when it's windy.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
I own two Mountain Hardware hats. The first is a fleece beanie that's warm but doesn't hold its shape too well. The second is the Dome Perignon and it's much more rugged, holds up well after multiple wearings and is very warm. I used it recently in some major Sierra storms and it was fantastic. Only one complaint, the earflaps block a substantial amount of sound, making conversation almost impossible while wear it. That said, the Dome Perignon still gets my thumbs up.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
This is a great hat - I got several. Fits perfectly . I can wear it under my climbing helmet and it doesn't bunch up. When it is extra cold I can fit my thin balaclava underneath it as well - although that is getting a little snug since it is not very stretchy.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Hat:
I LOVE this hat! It keeps the wind out 100% and I've used mine for years. I'm tempted to buy another one now just in case MHW decides to discontinue making these...that's how much I like it. If you're exurting yourself a lot, you'll sweat because this hat is very proficient at retaining heat. It absolutely repells wind and covers your ears wholly. Not good (too bulky) for under helmet use.

Perfect for the cold nights. It does reduce hearing when ear flaps are folded down. Overall an A+ for performance and insulation
