Comments about SealSkinz Waterproof Gloves - Unisex:
The manufacturer could almost be charged with false advertising. These gloves are neither breathable or waterproof. The choice of words used by other reviewers before me to describe their dissatisfaction with this product exactly mirror my experience, so I won't repeat them here.
In dry weather (never in wet weather), they feel comfortable down to about 45 degrees. Below that, they not only fail to retain heat, but they actually seem to transmit cold, if that's possible. Once I tried wearing a thin Smartwool liner under the gloves at about 42 degrees. My fingers still got numb after about 30 minutes of cycling. I removed the gloves and wore the liner only. My fingers immediately began to feel warmer -- not perfect, because the liner was thin, but still more comfortable than with the gloves on.
My disappointment in this product is magnified all the more by my complete satisfaction with the SealSkinz socks, which I wear under cycling sandals commuting in all winter weather -- and even in the snow in my sandals when shoveling the driveway. (See my review of the socks elsewhere on this site.) In fact, I purchased the gloves in the first place thinking that if the socks are great, the gloves surely would perform equally as well. Not so!

I tried these gloves out kayaking and they did the exact opposite of what was promised. As soon as they got wet water leaked inside the gloves. I had to take them off to get my hands dry. My hands were much warmer bare skin than they were with these gloves on. This is the worst and most disappointing product I have bought this year.
REI you need to drop this glove!! Why do you continue to sell something that lies about it's capability? I will be returning this.

I use the gloves for kayaking. I use a greenland paddle so my hands get very wet. These gloves worked fine for a couple of outings and then they stopped being waterproof.
The soak up water like a sponge and your hands are soaked in no time.
They are warmer than wearing nothing at all but not by much.
Buy something else if you are expecting to get a lot of water on your hands.

The definition of "Waterproof" is as follows:
wa·ter·proof (wôtr-prf, wtr-) adj.
1. Impervious to or unaffected by water.
2. Made of or coated or treated with rubber, plastic, or a sealing agent to prevent penetration by water.n.
1. A material or fabric that is impervious to water.
These gloves are not waterproof. I was riding my bicycle in the rain and in about 20 minutes my hands wear soaked.
I did a further test by just running water over the gloves. Took about 2 minutes for water to seep through
So, if you are looking for "waterproof" gloves do not buy these.

I work in a dairy warehouse, which is kept at 34 F at all times. The products are often doused with water to cool them off, thus I have to have my hands on cold water for several hours a day. I got these gloves hoping that I'd be able to keep my hands dry and warm, but was a little disappointed. At first they worked fine, but after about two or three hours, the outer glove gets so soaked that it just trickles down inside. The knitting on the outside could be much more durable, too, as I experienced tears almost immediately. They could use more insulation and a more sturdy covering for the palm area.

These gloves sure have alot of advertizing behind them ('chillbusters') etc. but in the field my partner and I found them to be useless. They were seriously lacking warmth, needed to put handwarmer activaters inside. Thank goodness inside our pack (as advised) we had brought a second back-up.
My backup pair Descende Wombat gloves were fabulous, warm and waterproof!

This is a good product at the begining, the lining starts to come apart from the outer shell and water starts to seep in. I work in the film industry and used them to work in rain, after a heavy rain or working with them too much they come apart. So its good for the first few times. But GREAT for light to medium use.

It will be easiest to state the one good thing, that is they fit great nice and snug. Just like they should. Now for all the bad things. Not waterproof, not breathable, and not warm at all. On a 8 mile winter hike I tried to use these as my walking gloves. I have two malamutes so I have to always have my hands on there ropes. My hands where frozen. I don't know if they were not waterproof and the snow got in or they are just in no way breathable so my hands sweat the gloves wet. I can tell you this either way they are horrible. For half my hike that is 4 miles in the snow my hands were wet. I ended up taking the gloves off the gloves were so wet. I urge SealShinz to make a product that lives up to what is printed on the box.

Field Tested these gloves twice, and they are NOT waterproof. Almost had to paddle to shore & walk back to my truck as my hands were freezing because they were soaking wet.
