Comments about Kelty Triptease Guyline:
Great stuff. Weighs nothing and lights up like it's on the grid. It's so bright you could use it as an SOS for rescuers to find you in the dark! I bought this to replace the matte-black (??!!) guy-out cords supplied with my Marmot tent when I got tired to ripping the stakes out of the ground and falling on my face in the middle of the night (or having a camp-mate do the same). [...] It doesn't really matter, as both are about as strong as steel and stretch less. The knots you tie stick as if they're glued, which is a good thing in my book. Also, this cord is about 2 mm in width, so it is much thinner than most others of comparable strength. A word of cauton, however: the string is rough and tough, and will saw right through that little branch you're hauling your bear bag up on! Use something slicker for that, such as an unsheathed spectra or nylon cord.

Braided a short rope out of it and put it on one of my dogs... the one who waits until you forget about her and then starts to slither away. A quick glance around, and there she is. Great stuff... can't believe how bright it it is, and I have fantasies about getting it in different sizes. It is so cool. For something so simple, It delights the gear addict in me a lot...

Comments about Kelty Triptease Guyline:
Wow! No matter what scenerio I am camping, guylines tend to suck after dark. Kelty has made this alot safer! After one retrofit, I have decided to change all my guylines, mountaineering to car camping, to these. In all cirumstances, these lines light up easily with only headlamp LED illumination! They appear as laser beams guiding you to your shelter. I've also used them as trail markers. Worth every cent and then more!

Comments about Kelty Triptease Guyline:
Ever wander away from your tent at night and shone your light around thinking, "pee? check. now where's my tent?" uh, yeah, me neither. But if you do, this makes it super easy to find your tent. Like a beacon. And you will be less likely to clothesline yourself, or others, in the dark. :)

Comments about Kelty Triptease Guyline:
Cord is highly reflective with a headlamp on. It holds knots well and is very durable. After using it for 3 months strait, the reflective has worn of and I need to replace it. Don't just use it as guylines, tie pieces to others tents to see at night, and tie small pieces to branches to you can find your way to the cathole at night.

...is that it glows like it's radioactive at night under the slightest amount of light. BUT! The catch is that during the day? It's the same color as dry pine needles! I trip over it all the time during the day.

This line is very thin, light and strong. Not real reflective, but much better than standard black line.

Comments about Kelty Triptease Guyline:
After several years of use, I have replaced almost all of my guylines with Triptease. It has prevented drunken buddies from crashing into my car-camping tent, saved me from dying of hypothermia during an emergency pee break on a moonless night in the Wind River Range, and helped find a misplaced bear bag in Colorado.
It is lightweight, easy to see, strong, and very durable. Just don't use it to hang a heavy bear bag unless you have great hand and tree protection, as it will saw through both your hands and the tree.
