Comments about REI Pocket-Size Weatherproof Journal:
As a guard up here in Portland Oregon in the late fall, winter and early spring it can get a little wet ;-) it will hold ink like crazy but with pencil it will blur a bit over time I would recommend using one of the fisher space pens and the space pens are great too.

Comments about REI Pocket-Size Weatherproof Journal:
I have one of these in my rucsac when hiking - for note taking, joting down bearings or emergency use. I have one in my PFD for writing down coaching schedules and the names of students when coaching kayaking. Just make sure you use a suitable pen/pencil as the paper may well be waterproof but the ink is not necessarily !

Comments about REI Pocket-Size Weatherproof Journal:
This notebook is where my need to write meets my love of the wilderness. First time I used it was as a cheat sheet for a long overnight canoe race. I tested it with a full Nalgene. You could hardly tell it had been wet. The paper feels normal and works well with a pencil. I recommend this for anyone who finds inspiration for writing from the beauty of the outdoors.
