Comments about Hogwild Snap Watch II:
The watch has its benefits, but too many downfalls to be worth it. I am a very active person and I like to kayak, hike, wakeboard, etc. So, I didn't want an expensive watch that I could break easily or would hurt my pocket book if I lost it.
However, I did lose this watch, in fact, I lost 3 of them. I wanted them to work out for me, but it seems like they unsnapped so easily, they were impossible to keep on. I gave up after the 3rd and have quit wearing a watch until I can find something else.
Another downfall is that it says "waterproof", but they are not. Anytime I would be too active in the water they would fill up. Usually after drying out they were fine, but still an issue.

Comments about Hogwild Snap Watch II:
I had this watch for 1 week, wanting an inexpensive time piece that I could take up to the mountains for the weekend. After 1 week the watch stopped working. Also had problems with it falling off.I love the idea of the watch - functional minimalist but this one certainly misses the mark. [...]

Comments about Hogwild Snap Watch II:
I bought this watch for backpacking because it is cheap (I wouldn't be heartbroken if I lost or damaged it) and lightweight. I was unhappy to discover that it reset itself to midnight every couple of days, on average, making it utterly useless for keeping time in the backcountry.

Comments about Hogwild Snap Watch II:
This watch does exactly what I expected it to - I go to water aerobics and wear it to time myself. The first one lasted about a month - pretty good for an [$] watch. It stays on - I have had no trouble with it coming off or unsnapping - you'd have to catch it on something to unsnap it. I've ordered two more and I'll report back on their behavior...

Comments about Hogwild Snap Watch II:
I picked up a snap watch I from a Life is Good store in eastern North Carolina because I thought the minimalist design was pretty cool. It never got in the way and treated me well for a couple of weeks until I was wading around in a river trying to find a lost Disc Golf disc (found it!), when it quit working. I do a lot of Kayaking, so discovering that this watch was not waterproof was a major turn off. Enter snap watch II: I saw SWII on REI and ordered two right away. This watch is simple, and that is why I love it. It is lightweight and obviously just tells time. It is very cheap so you don't need to worry about beating it up. It's great for sports where a bulky watch could be dangerous (basketball, ultimate, anything where your wrist might get smacked) so that you don't have to run to the sidelines to check the time every ten minutes when you're on a time limit of any kind. I am in Iraq right now and the watch gets the heck beat out of it on a regular basis but keeps on going. The rope/strap broke on one of my watches, but replacements are easy to order (or you can just get a new watch...I mean it is only [$]...)After all is said and done this is the best watch you can get for the price. It does what it says it will do, which is keep accurate time and stay out of the way.

Comments about Hogwild Snap Watch II:
I love this watch! It has it's problems, and I'll get to those in a minute, but for me there is nothing better. For one, it doesn't have a metal back. This is good for me because I am allergic to several metals and can't wear any watch that has metal on it. The watch is small and fairly loose, so it doesn't sit on one exact spot on my arm and moves around a bit - tan line prevention! It also keeps it from being too hot. My previous watch had a big, thick band to keep the metal off my arm and it was miserably hot to wear in my area. The watch is waterproof, and since I am an aquatic entomologist, this is a handy feature as I'm always in some mucky water somewhere. I've never had one ruined by submerging it for several hours, so the seal is apparently sufficient to make it reasonably waterproof. It's very easy to clean and easy to change the batteries, so you can use one of these for a long time. It's easy to get on and off. It's fairly accurate (though mine have tended to run just slightly slow - I fix the time once a month or so). And, it's cheap, so when I leave it somewhere, break it (by, for example, running over it with my car accidentally), drop it in a lake or mucky river, or otherwise lose/destroy it, I don't feel bad about losing it and can easily buy another one.
There are things that make it less than perfect. The watch barrel has a tendency to roll over, so you have to constantly roll it upright to see the time. It's not the most stylish thing ever, so I don't feel comfortable wearing it with fancy clothes (though most people think it's a bracelet and think nothing of it). I've found that the watch bands are all slightly different sizes. One watch might fit perfectly, but another one of the same size might be slightly too big or slightly too small. And they do have a tendency to get knocked off on occasion, especially once you've had it for a while and the snap starts wearing out a bit.
That said, I wouldn't wear any other watch! I've gone through about 10 of these so far (mostly because I lose them - I lose watches like crazy), and I've been very happy with them overall. The benefits of this watch far outweigh the negative traits for me and I'll continue using these watches as long as they are available.
