Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
Folds up to the size of a fist and weigh just a few ounces. The Seattle Sports Bucket is an essential piece of my wilderness gear that prolongs the life of my MSR Mini Works filter and performs a dozen other essential tasks. A must have for back country wilderness travel!

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
Can't trek without my bucket. Hauls water, holds water. It's my tub, sink, and wash machine. In my pack, it holds all the little stuff I need near the top.

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
Got this bucket to use to put out the campfire but it turned out to have a lot more uses than that. It was used for brushing teeth, washing the dishes, washing your hands, and a fire bucket. Also once filled it had no problem standing on its own. This bucket held up to all expectations that I had. It happened to do so well that other people in my party said that when we got back to town they would be getting one.
Also I'll now be using it on all of my backcountry trips so that I can put the campfire out. And when it was time to leave it makes carrying items easier if used like a basket.
I don't know how anyone had problems in using this bucket. I think that it is one of the best items in my camping gear that I have bought.

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
It's great for lots of uses (I've carries one around for years), but set it down and it spills. The sea to summit kitchen sink design seems to be better for keeping the contents from spilling and the wider opening makes a better multiuse open water container.

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
After buying this item, it has become one of the most used item on my backpacking trips. It was tricky to fill at first but once you get the hang of it it is gold. I either stick it in moving water till it expands and fills up or I tie some webbing to the handle and throw it into the water and reel it back in. This saves my knees from having to bend over by the water to pump multiple liters of water after a long days hike. I like to grab a bucket full of water and hang it on a tree overnight. That way all the silt sinks to the bottom and I can pump or skim water off the top which extends the life of my filter. And there are plenty of uses for a lightweight collapsable bucket.

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
Unfortunately, I was lured into buying 2 of these useless items by the good reviews and the fact that I own a Seattle Sports Super Sink II, which I like very much. The only good things about them is that they are compact and (probably) durable. They are so floppy that it is very difficult to fill them by dipping them into a lake or stream. When full of water they won't stand by themselves. If I could have given them 0 stars I would have.

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
I got this item, thinking "Well, if I want to take a sponge bath in a non-harmful fashion, I need a bucket. Maybe I can use it for other things too, like soaking pots."
Not just for sponge baths. On a recent trip we ran into severe water shortages due to high elevation and snow. I used a hiking buddy's cup to fill the bucket, and we then pumped out of the bucket. Certainly saved the water filter from silt clogging as well as giving it a place to suck from. Saved us from a lot of thirst.
A great way to prevent most silt clogging. Also good for hauling water for sponge or other baths, and good for storing wet items. Dries very easily and folds well, though I would hold it together with a rubber band when folded to prevent it unwrapping itself. Handle gets in the way - it's just nylon strap - but not problematically so. The bucket is much bigger than you think it is, but is very compact when collapsed.
As a note, try and be safe about remembering that the bucket is "dirty" (unfiltered water) and don't store drinking water in it without a thorough cleaning.

Comments about Seattle Sports Pocket Bucket:
I have had this bucket for 3 years.
It has been dipped in countless rivers, creeks and streams.
I haul water back to camp for filtering at my convenience. I always keep it full when I have a fire. It’s perfect for a quick rinse of muddy or dirty items. I have placed wet clothes in this, before placing in a pack. And on occasion, even used it as a trash can to haul out items, I don’t really want on the inside of my pack, just clip it on the outside.
Again, A Must Have!
