      I was a bit skeptical when I bought this product. However, my toes are so blister prone that I was willing to give it a try. In 2006, during a 210 mile hike in JMT; I got 5 blisters on my left foot and 6 blisters on my right foot.

      Recently(in 2008), I went back to do a 100 mile section in King Canyon's National Park. I wrapped my most-prone toe(pinky) with J&J tape and snugged in this cap. For other toes except my big toes; I applied some Vaseline and snugged in these caps as well. After several days of hike, I had a hot spot developed on my pinky toe but other toes remained well - no blisters :)

      One drawback is; it won't fit MOST big toes. Mine don't fit - but I don't get blisters on my big toes. I will definitely buy them again in the future. Well worth the investment for my blister-free quest....

      They turn brown quickly though; to prevent any bacterias and germs from growing in there; I applied some Neosporine to kill them. Also, they do retain moisture so I take them off several times a day when I take a break. Nothing is perfect I guess but instead of getting 11 blisters; I got none this time :)

        I bought these for my fiance. We were training for a half-marathon and a few of her toes were blistering bad (changing colors). She started wearing a few of these and within a week or two the toes started to heal and she hasn't had trouble since (as she wears them during every run).

        I recently was having the same problem and started wearing one. Not only has it helped with the blister, but in the same toe I was feeling the signs of what seemed to be a stress fracture. After I put one on every time I ran, it seemed to really help stabilize and provide a little extra cushion for that toe.

        As I've read from another review, they do turn off-color pretty quick, but just put some anti-bacterial stuff in there before you put it on and you're golden!

        Used these on a 2 day hike across the White Mountains in Hew Hampshire and they were worth their weight in gold. My buddy used one since he had a blister forming before the hike even started because he had new boots. He said it worked great and even re-used the one for the next days hike. I used 3 as 3 of my toes started to get painful from my foot sliding forward in my boot and it also worked great. No blister, nothing. They stay on all day and protect any toe that might be forming a blister or already have a blister. I won't hike without these. I just wish they weren't so expensive.
