Comments about Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp:
I take this if i know i am going to be out late and dark. Excellent for night navigation in featureless terrain. Strong and reliable light. The boost is very welcome. Good cover that stops is getting switched on by accident. Very professional gear as used my Mountain Leaders all around the world.

Comments about Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp:
I decided to purchase the Myo X after reading rave reviews, and not being able to see more than 10ft in front of me. My climbing partner has been using this headlamp for awhile, and I've always been impressed by how bright it is.
The only downside is the fact that it's more expensive and heavier then most headlamps. The Myo XP delivers in many ways, the beam is very strong and adjusts easily.
Great value for those that want a high output headlamp.

Comments about Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp:
This is my second Petzl headlamp. No, the first (Tikka) didn't break or bow from extreme use. It simply found a home as an emergency light in the hydration pack that contains all the neccesities for survival, emergencies, and spontaneous exploration that comes with being a fanatic outdoor professional and recreational enthusiast. The slightly more compact design of the Mayo, with it's larger battery pack than the Tikka, recently made a 3.5 uninterrupted journey through 5 miles of subterranean darkness in one of the Southeastern Cave Conservancy's well-kept secrets. The lamp even fit equisitely on the Petzl Elios climbing helmet, that kept my noggin safe while my eyes negotiated the illuminated void. It's next task may be a less-daunting journey into my crawl-space to change a furnace filter. A great investment in dependable visibility!

Comments about Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp:
I am not sure how useful this review will be, but I wanted to give this product a positive review because it is such a great product.
This is the first headlamp I have owned. When I first saw fellow campers wearing headlamps, I thought they looked a bit goofy, but I could see the utility. This headlamp is incredibly bright, very comfortable and I love the ability to have a spot beam or more diffuse light. The controls are easy to adjust even with gloves on. Worked well even down to 0 degrees F.

Comments about Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp:
I have owned and used this light for over a year on many overnight hiking/camping trips. This has been the best light I have ever owned. During the recent ice storms in the midwest, electricity was out for over 5 days, this light became my constant companion during the entire time, I used this light so much that all of my other lanterns and flashlights became obsolete.

Comments about Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp:
After two summers as a field tech, this thing still works better than I could have hoped for. The boost feature has come in handy more than once, and other biologists are always expressing their jealousy. The light is crisp and doesn't obscure anything, which was especially helpful when taking blood samples from these small owls. Battery life has been great. Straps are stable, and it's not too heavy.

I have tried several headlamps, including LED models, and this Petzl is by far the best I have tried. Extremely bright with long battery life.
