REI Distribution & Logistics Jobs
Our 500,000+-square-foot Distribution Centers located in Sumner, Washington and Bedford, Pennsylvania, receive products from vendors and distribute them to REI stores across the country. These state-of-the-art facilities also process and ship directly to customers who have placed online and phone orders. Each Distribution Center boasts a combined 13 miles of automated conveyor systems, laser scanners and real-time, hands-free, portable radio frequency terminals. Additionally, energy-saving systems and recycling programs reflect REI’s strong commitment to sustainable operating practices.
Full- and part-time DC employees handle millions of products each year during two to three work shifts. Responsibilities include: receiving merchandise from vendors; pricing merchandise; planning efficient warehouse storage; picking, packaging, and shipping orders to stores and customers; monitoring and resolving inventory discrepancies; handling damaged or defective merchandise for return to vendors; and building bicycles in our modern Central Bike Assembly.
Logistics planning and supply-chain management positions in the Distribution Centers are responsible for analyzing, engineering and coordinating the complex flow of product from our suppliers to stores and customers.

Warehouse Associate
Our Warehouse Associates are an integral part of the REI team and are the most common entry point into our Distribution team. They support REI as Merchandise Handlers and Receiving, Marking, Splitting, Wrapping, and Shipping Clerks. Their primary focus is to move product accurately and efficiently throughout the warehouse.

Production Specialist:
Our Production Specialists prepare bicycles for assembly by attaching various components and ensuring quality through torque-checking, test riding, and performing minor disassembly of the bikes in preparation for shipping.
Assembly Specialist:
Our mechanically savvy Assembly Specialists build bicycles to meet REI and vendor specifications and quality standards in preparation for shipment to retail stores and direct sales customers.
