To Check Your Balance
Use our Online Balance Inquiry feature to check the balance on your REI gift card, merchandise credit or refund voucher.
To Redeem Gift Cards
Gift cards can be redeemed online at REI.com, REI-OUTLET.com or on the REI mobile application; at an REI Store; or by phone at 1-800-426-4840. Review the Gift Cards Terms and Conditions.
Redeem online
During Checkout, enter gift card number and PIN
On the Checkout page, enter your gift card number and PIN in the appropriate boxes. The gift card PIN is located on the back of the card. Please scratch off the applicable section to reveal your PIN. Complete the payment information and click the "Submit Order" button.
That's all there is to it!
Redeem at REI stores nationwide
- Find a store using our store locator or call 1-800-426-4840.
- Present your gift card to the cashier at checkout.

- Call 1-800-426-4840
- Tell the sales associate your gift card number and PIN when requested. The gift card PIN is located on the back of card. Please scratch off the applicable section to reveal PIN.
Gift Cards Terms and Conditions
To Redeem Merchandise Credits & Refund Vouchers Online
Paper merchandise credits or refund vouchers issued at REI stores may be redeemed online, over the phone or at any REI store.
- Add item(s) you want to purchase to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout.
- At step #5 of checkout, enter the card number and the 4-digit PIN printed on your paper merchandise credit or refund voucher. (Where to find your PIN.)
- To use more than one merchandise credit or refund voucher in the same transaction, click the "Add Another" button and enter the next Number and PIN.
- When you've entered information for all the merchandise credits and refund vouchers you wish to apply in the order, complete the rest of checkout.
The dollar amount of merchandise credit and refund vouchers applied will be shown at checkout. In addition, your REI Order Confirmation e-mail will also display the remaining balances on merchandise credits and refund vouchers.

Is gift boxing available for Gift Registry items?
Yes. At Checkout, just indicate that you are sending items as gifts. You'll then be able to choose among several gift-delivery options, including gift boxing and adding a personalized note.
