A very accessible, pleasant hike in one of Montana's smallest wilderness areas, the Welcome Creek Wilderness. Besides offering scenic, timbered hiking trails, the Welcome Creek Wilderness has a rich history. Mined extensively around the turn of the twentieth century, the area has many haunting reminders, now abandoned and decaying into the landscape, to greet you.
