This trail offers a taste of what the Scapegoat Wilderness looked like before the Canyon Creek fire of 1988. It features quiet woodland traveling rather than the grandeur of striking mountain scenery. This trail also connects with the East Fork of the Blackfoot Trail, providing the most direct access to this drainage.
