West Yellowstone, MT
Amazing, ridgeline views from Sky Rim. For serious hikers who like to “get high” and have lots of panoramic mountain scenery, the Sky Rim loop trail is probably the best long hike in Yellowstone. It’s also one of the most difficult, but it’s ideal for the well-conditioned hiker who likes to get up early and spend the entire day walking with minimal time devoted to rest and relaxation. Besides being one of the nicest parts of the park, the far northwest corner is also the newest, added to the park in 1927.
