This trail provides a short-length day hike to an attractive mountain lake overlooking a portion of the Bitterroot Valley near Victor. Due to heavy use and the relatively short distances involved, Glen Lake is a poor choice for backpacking and offers little satisfaction for those seeking true wilderness solitude. As an indication of just how popular this trail is, more than a dozen vehicles occupied the trailhead at the time of my June 28, 1998, visit. Highlights: A small mountain lake with good shoreline access and fine scenery.
