Gash Point overlooks the Bitterroot Valley from the apex of a windswept ridge nine miles northwest of Victor. With its outstanding perspective of the valley and of the Bear Creek drainage to the west, this taxing climb handsomely rewards those who visit each summer. And unlike some of the other Bitterroot peaks visible from the summit, you’re almost guaranteed to have this mountain to yourself. Highlights: A challenging and seldom-traveled wilderness route.
