This fine day hike leads to a charming mountain lake nestled among gray talus and green forest just 9 miles southwest of Hamilton. The route is maintained only as far as Camas Lake, yet a determined hiker may pursue several other objectives as well, including rigorous cross-country journeys to Kidney Lake or several nameless lakes located in the upper reaches of Camas Creek. Any of these choices provides fine fishing possibilities and all three are quite scenic. Highlights: A small mountain lake with good fishing.
