This trail showcases the majestic length of Blodgett Canyon, centerpiece of the many east-west canyons found in the Montana portion of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. It offers an exceptionally pleasant and scenic passage culminating in a high mountain lake whose beauty nicely complements the Bitterroots’ most spectacular canyon. Additionally, the trail offers two potential side trips; the short diversion to Blodgett Pass in particular is not to be missed. Highlights: Majestic canyon scenery with good opportunities for wildlife viewing.
