This hike takes you to a shallow mountain lake that lies within 45 minutes of its roadside trailhead and offers fair angling. The trail requires a short ascent as it traverses granite-strewn terrain and razed forest left over from the 1988 fire season. This is a nice place to spend a leisurely September afternoon. Highlights: A shallow subalpine lake well suited for an afternoon visit.
