Upper Loop
Hiking in O'Fallon Park is ideal for the time-pressed loner. The park is rustic, scenic and ramshackle. There are no trail markers, bathrooms, or picnic tables, and the trails are maintained by the trampling feet of local hikers, their dogs and the resident wildlife. Often overlooked by Front Range residents, O'Fallon is never swamped by hikers, even on busy weekends. All the better to enjoy the broad meadow, overgrown with wildflowers in spring, the willow-choked stream that runs trailside for a short distance, and the views of Mount Evans glimpsed through the trees after the rocky climb to the trail's apex.
