South Colony Lakes
A very popular trail to a pair of scenic lakes above the tree line. Parts of the access road barely deserve to be classified as a road. Early in the season, runoff seems to use the road as much as the creek, and the snowpack can linger below the trailhead into June. Be prepared to stop and proceed on foot in spring or fall when the road conditions will require it.
